Christians have the Holy Spirit with us and in us to deal with Sin (Bondage) and sins (Rebellion). God has also provided us with the ability to deal effectively with all of the destructive thoughts, feelings and behaviors arising from sin and sins, including a guilty conscience and irrational shame. The healing grace of the Holy Spirit is released in the truth revealed by the Spirit; the fruit of the Holy Spirit; and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Many books have been written on the importance of God’s truth, many on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and a growing number are being written on the fruit of the Spirit. To over-emphasize or under-emphasize any one of them is unbiblical and fails to move believers toward maturity. When all three are taught, encouraged and lived out in balance, a maximum amount of healing and growth will result. To be a mature Christian means we have grown in applying God's truth by releasing all three of these dimensions of the Holy Spirit's work. God’s truth, fruit and power combine in a Christian community to facilitate radical growth and healing among the participants.
